Danielson Domain IV-Professional Responsibilities

 

        As a teacher it is my responsibility to be a professional educator that acts with conscientious effort to exemplify the highest ethical standards.  I accept the personal responsibility  for teaching students character qualities that will help them evaluate the consequences of and accept the responsibility for their actions and choices.  I additionally have a responsibility to connect with the community, coordinate with my colleagues, and continue professional development as an educator.  

 

Domain IV:  Professional Responsibilities :The teacher fulfills professional roles and responsibilities and adheres to the legal and ethical requirements of the profession.


A. Reflecting on Teaching: Teacher makes a thoughtful and accurate assessment of a lesson’s effectiveness and the extent to which it achieved its instructional outcomes, citing many specific examples from the lesson and weighing the relative strengths of each.

 

B. Maintaining Accurate Records: 

 

C. Communicating with Families: Teacher’s communication with families is frequent and sensitive to cultural traditions, with students contributing to the communication.

 

D. Participating in a Professional Community

The teacher enhances professional knowledge and skills by effectively interacting with members of the educational community and participating in various types of professional activities.

 

E. Growing and Developing Professionally

 

F. Demonstrating Professionalism 

The teacher understands and adheres to legal and ethical requirements for educators and is knowledgeable of the structure of education in Pennsylvania.
